Volunteership Terms

Last updated: January 05, 2025

YARD Hub offers volunteer opportunities as part of our commitment to sustainability and community development. Our goal is to provide football enthusiasts and young workers with the chance to gain valuable experiences, explore their potential, develop collaborative skills, and acquire real-world experience. By participating in our volunteership program, you acknowledge and agree to the rules and responsibilities outlined in these Volunteership Rules.

  1. Be at least 20 years old; there is no upper age limit.
  2. No specific requirements based on gender, race, or disability.
  3. Commitment to fulfilling the required volunteer hours and responsibilities, as detailed in this document.
  4. Volunteers must respect the laws of their home country and Saudi Arabia during their tenure with YARD Hub.

Volunteer Pathways

As a volunteer, you will be responsible for performing tasks and duties as assigned by YARD Hub, based on the pathway chosen:

  1. Task Pathway: Volunteers will complete 3 hours per day for 10 continuous workdays (total 30 hours of volunteering).
  2. Project Pathway: Volunteers will contribute 3 hours per day for 30 continuous workdays (total 90 hours of volunteering).
  3. Program Pathway: Volunteers will complete 3 hours per day for 90 continuous workdays (total 270 hours of volunteering).

Volunteers on the Task Pathway may complete two rounds, after which they are eligible to advance to the Project or Program Pathway. Project Pathway volunteers may only complete one project before transitioning to the Program Pathway. Successful completion of the Project Pathway opens the opportunity for permanent volunteership, where ongoing involvement will be tailored to the YARD Hub mission, subject to review and approval.

Volunteers are expected to maintain professionalism, adhere to the YARD Hub Staff Code of Conduct, and demonstrate commitment throughout their involvement.

Volunteer Commitment and Duration

Volunteers must sign a commitment agreement outlining their responsibilities and the work they will complete. This commitment also includes a handover process in case of termination of the volunteership from either side. The three pathways outlined above detail the expected volunteer hours and durations, with specific timelines for task completion.

Volunteer Termination

YARD Hub reserves the right to terminate any volunteer’s involvement if they fail to meet the required hours or standards. Volunteers who do not meet the hour requirements or fail to maintain the expected work standard will not receive certification for their time.

If a volunteer wishes to terminate their involvement, they are required to notify YARD Hub as per the agreed handover process. Similarly, YARD Hub may terminate a volunteer’s involvement if the terms of the commitment are not met.

Benefits and Recognition

Volunteers who complete the requirements for the Task, Project, or Program Pathways will gain valuable experience, but there is no financial compensation for their contributions. YARD Hub does not provide certifications if the volunteer has not completed the required hours or work as per the pathway chosen.

Liability and Warranties

YARD Hub is not liable for any accidents, damages, or disputes arising from volunteer activities. Volunteers participate at their own risk, and YARD Hub does not provide any warranties or guarantees regarding the outcome or success of the volunteer work.

YARD Hub will not assign tasks, projects, or programs that could pose a risk, break any laws, or require financial investment. Most volunteer roles are time-based, effort-based, and aimed at football enhancement. Proven hours are a critical element of the volunteership program, and YARD Hub is strict about tracking and verifying these hours to maintain the integrity and purpose of the program.

Code of Conduct

Volunteers must follow our Code of Conduct, which outlines expected ethical behavior, professionalism, and respect for others.

Governing Law

These Volunteership Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Volunteers are required to comply with all relevant local and international laws, including those of Saudi Arabia.
